"We recently purchased a three-bedroom duplex apartment in Spain to be used as a holiday home for ourselves, friends and family. The apartment looked dated, with yellow walls clashing with a mixture of cream and grey tiles, and felt quite dark despite the large French glass doors to the balcony.
Having shown Mette a short video of the apartment together with some room measurements she first created a delightful mood board with suggested colour schemes and types of furniture, together with detailed cad drawings showing various possible room layouts. We were very excited by the 'feel' of these and followed up with a detailed meeting to go through final room layouts. Mette listened carefully to our thoughts and came up with great solutions to any concerns or requests. She produced a detailed list of things we would need to buy and from where, suggesting a lot of items could be sourced in Spain or shipped over. She also advised painting the entire apartment in white to take advantage of a high atrium ceiling and maximise the light.
The final stage was a visit to Spain. Mette helped us with all the purchases, liaised with the electrician for adding impressive lighting, hung the curtains, and made sure everything was in its correct place. At this stage we could see how cleverly the grey, black and cream scheme matched the existing floors and how a dash of yellow in accessories picked up the joy of the rooms. By introducing ceiling lighting and breaking up the main room into a defined living and eating area Mette transformed the apartment into a large light comfortable home to kick off the flip flops and relax after a heavy day soaking up the sun."
