I was approached by the team from Courtmead; Nicolas Pople Architects and Douch Partners Contractors, to assist in the role of interior architect and design consultant on a new build. The emphasis was eco-friendly, very high spec, fiercely modern yet with a contemporary twist on the Arts and Crafts. By that I mean: well made, well designed, handcrafted & bespoke.

The Douch Partners team has more than 30 years of experience of environmentally-sound builds between them, so obviously every designer's dream to work with. Being involved in a build from early on is also a great way to iron out and resolve design issues before they become problems, and we were able to try out some awesome design features, such as shadow gap walls, seamless pocket doors and a laundry chute, just to mention a few. I am very proud of having been involved with Alder House; a beautiful building and a great project that will make her new owners very happy.
